With more than 300km of ski runs, Lech Zürs is the largest ski resort in Austria as well as the fifth largest in the world. Conveniently, you can quickly reach all the peaks in the ski area.

Skiing vacations with the whole family: this is an uncomplicated pleasure at the Berghof. With the hotel’s own lift you can comfortably drive to the center of the village where you need no more than 5 minutes walking time to the lifts. You will receive your ski pass in advance at the reception. To start your skiing pleasure right away, early planning is necessary – find here an overview of the ski schools as well as the ski rental in Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

ARLBERG FREERIDE & FREESKI.

More than just a snow paradise.

Lech Zürs offers 200km of high alpine deep snow slopes – a pleasure for all experienced skiers. Freeriding is the epitome of freedom when skiing and snowboarding. Draw your own mark in the partly untouched deep snow slopes and enjoy the unique, powdery pleasure in the skiing area and in the mountains.

Nature and the free skiing area away from the groomed slopes have special demands on safety. A complete safety equipment consisting of helmet, burial transceiver, probe, shovel and in the best case an avalanche backpack, has long been a standard equipment for freeriders.

ARLBERG LANGLAUFEN.

Langlaufen zählt zu den gesündesten Sportarten überhaupt: Das Herz-Kreislauf-System und die Ausdauer werden auf ideale Weise trainiert und ist dabei besonders gelenkschonend. Dieser Wintersport ist das perfekte Ganzkörpertraining und bietet für jeden die richtige Herausforderung. Mit der richtigen Technik steigen auch Anfänger schnell und leicht ins Langlaufvergnügen ein.

Mit dem Berghof Lift ins Ortszentrum und nicht mal 2 Minuten Gehzeit zum Strolz Skiverleih oder Sportalp und schon kann es direkt neben dem Appartmenthaus Filomena auf der Loipe losgehen. Auf die Loipe, fertig, los!

Ob von Lech nach Zug oder ins schöne Zugertal – viel Vergnügen werden Sie ganz bestimmt haben!

ARLBERG CROSS-
COUNTRY-SKIING.

Cross-country skiing is one of the healthiest sports of all: the cardiovascular system and endurance are trained in an ideal way and it is particularly easy on the joints. This winter sport is the perfect whole-body workout and offers the right challenge for everyone. With the right technique, even beginners can quickly and easily get into the fun of cross-country skiing.

If you take the Berghof lift to the village center, it takes less than a 2 minutes walk to the Strolz ski rental or Sportalp, where you can lend cross-country skies, if required. The trail starts right next to the Aparthotel Filomena. On the track, ready, go!

Either from Lech to Zug or into the beautiful Zugertal – you will definitely have a lot of fun!

DER WEIßE RING.

More than just a ski circuit.

For winter sports enthusiasts, der Weiße Ring means a half-day sporting challenge with about 22 km of ski runs and 5,500 meters of altitude gain, as well as a sightseeing tour on easy and intermediate ski runs with viewing platforms at Rüfikopf and Madloch (nature platform).

The most important starting points at the Rüfikopfbahn in Lech, at the Seekopf or Zürserseebahn in Zürs and at the Zugerbergbahn in Zug are marked. For optimal orientation along the ski circuit, there are clearly visible Weißer Ring information boards and stickers next to the usual slope signage.

But not only that: Der Weiße Ring is also famous for the popular alpine ski race, which takes place annually in January. 1,000 ambitious winter sportsmen and women take part in the race every year and deliver an exciting competition, which is followed by spectators along the route and at the finish line.

JAMES TURELL – SKYSPACE LECH.

 

For over half a century, the american artist James Turrell has worked with light and space to create artworks, that engage the viewer with the limits and wonder of human perception. Turrell, an avid pilot, considers the sky as his studio, material and screen. New Yorker critic Calvin Tompkins writes, “His work is not about light or a record of light; it is light-the physical presence of light manifested in sensory form.”

BERGHOFS CHILDREN PARADISE.

Next to our sun terrace is the children’s area of the Tannberg ski school. The ideal place for children who try their first turns in the snow or also for advanced ski children.

A dream for little skistars.

The first turns in the snow become a very special experience. With a magic carpet, playful exercises for a good balance on the skis, a funny mascot and a warm-up igloo, the children learn with lots of fun.

The groups have a maximum of 6 children – so each individual can be ideally catered for.
